I just purchased a German Rottweiler puppy for my wife, & she wanted me to look up Native American Indean names for dogs, she fell in love with the name then she named our new puppy Nova because she really does chase butterflies.

I have a female Siberian Husky and Nova was suggested. I don't mind the name but having trained other breeds I think the name Nova and when you are required to tell your dog NO in urgent matters may cause confusion for your dog.
